AHAYFS is a valuable community partner in the Lower Mainland that collaborates with several agencies to support a person-centered approach to services. We work closely with our community partners; Pacific Community Resources Society (PCRS), Options, Surrey School District, the RCMP, Metis Family Services (MFS), several Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) programs and regions, and Community Living British Columbia (CLBC).
Individuals are supported by a skilled care team in developing life skills and achieving their goals. AHAYFS caregivers and Support staff engage with individuals and encourage building healthy and lasting relationships with themselves and within their community. AHAYFS fosters individual independence as they transition towards adulthood.
The SUP? Program is Supporting Unique Potential as additional support for those individuals already receiving services within the agency’s resources. Individuals we serve are vulnerable and face multiple barriers within their communities and require tailored supports. AHAYFS’s SUP? program allows AHAYFS to better meet the immediate needs of individuals including assistance with daily living tasks, accessing or attending other programs and services within their community.
AHAYFS Outreach program is in Partnership with Community Living British Columbia (CLBC). The Outreach program serves CLBC referred individuals who are over the age of 19 and in need of community support. Outreach workers offer a variety of supports within a person-centered approach that promotes independence, inclusion, and community partnerships.
